MATARIKI
Over the week I have been learning about Matariki. I've learnt that there are seven sisters but nine stars. And Matariki is the Maori name for the small cluster of stars also known as the pleiades or the seven sisters, in the Taurus constellation. Matariki is the name for the central star in the cluster. During Matariki, it is a time to remember those who have passed away, and to celebrate the food that had been collected. Matariki is still celebrated today. Matariki can also be translated as Eyes of god. And Matariki has many different names around earth. Matariki is one of the star clusters closest to the earth.

Kia ora Lauryn I couldn't have explained it better. Thanks for organising your paragraph so that is has 'flows' when you read it. Perhaps you start a sentence using 'And' next time. Thanks for sharing.
